H. A. Spalding Engineers, Inc. designed the widening of the existing 2-lane roadway with curb and gutter and sidewalk to a 3-lane and 5-lane roadway with curb and gutter, sidewalks and an improved drainage system in Stanton. The focus of the project is improving safety and traffic flow.  The area is heavily business/commercial, which generates frequent left turns and the addition of a turn lane will relieve congestion along KY 213.   With the completion of the plans, the improved drainage system includes approximately 60 storm water inlets in seven separate storm sewer systems.  The project plans were developed from field surveyed information.  Tasks included utility location, property line location, topographic location and acquisition of points for DTM development.
